Is the procedure SAFE?

Any puncture to the skin carries the risk of infection. Her at 4Ever Tattoo Ink, we are a reputable shop with licensed artists who follow proper sterilization procedures to ensure you have the cleanest and safest appointment possible.

Is a tattoo really permanent?

YES! Tattoos are permanent, but the ink can fade away with time. Areas with high friction such as fingers can fade much quicker than other areas and too much exposure to sun can fade out your tattoos.

How do I care for my tattoo BEFORE it’s healed?

A fresh tattoo takes about a month or more to FULLY heal. For the first 2 weeks, DO NOT TOUCH with dirty hands. Every time you are going to touch your tattoo, be sure to properly wash your hands.

  • WASH your tattoo 2x a day with lukewarm water and antibacterial soap.
  • PREVENT your tattoo from drying by applying cream recommended by your tattoo artist, at least 3x a day.
  • AVOID the use of tight garments around the tattoo for 10-15 days.
  • AVOID direct sunlight on the tattoo and entering bodies of water or areas with high humidity for 2 weeks after the procedure

Does a tattoo hurt?

Pain level varies on the individual. Factors such as the tattoos placement on the body can affect the pain level although it is generally described as a “cat scratch.” Numbing cream is available upon request.

Should I let my artist know of any medical conditions?

ALWAYS let your artist know of any skin or medical conditions PRIOR to your appointment. Dry, chaffed, sunburned, irritated, or broken out skin will NOT tattoo well and may bring complications to the quality of the tattoo during and after the healing process. We may ask you to choose another area to tattoo or recommend rescheduling your appointment.

How do I care for my tattoo AFTER its healed?

Use SPF sunscreen at all times on tattoo after fully healing. Too much sun exposure can cause the tattoo to fade.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Get plenty of rest, stay hydrated, take a shower, and eat a nutritional meal at least 2 hours before your appointment.

What if I'm late to my appointment or need to cancel, is my deposit refundable?

Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, if you are going to be late, we offer a 30 min time window to make it from your scheduled time. If you need to reschedule your appointment for any reason, please let us know 48 hours in advance as a courtesy to our artists and customers.

FAQ's : Why do tattoos start to itch while healing?

Itchiness a week after your tattoo is 100% normal and part of the healing process. Remember to keep the tattoo moisturized with your recommended cream and DO NOT scratch the tattoo. You can run the tattoo under cold water for a few moments to alleviate any itchiness

What should I wear to my appointment?

It’s important to be comfortable and wear loose clothing. We recommend black clothes since ink can potentially stain any garments.

What is the age requirement for getting a tattoo or piercing?

I’m the State of North Carolina, it is unlawful to tattoo or pierce anyone under the age of 18, with or without parental consent.

ID will be required upon entering to enforce this law.

Do you offer consultations?

Consultations are free and highly recommended for large scale pieces.

We offer consultations Everyday 12pm-9pm.
